Johnathan Esper of the Adirondack Mountains is the pro photographer behind the company and principle tour leader, having worked with hundreds of clients across 90+ highly successful trips spanning a decade, and beginning trips to the destination of Iceland starting in 2011. Johnathan ensures all trips provide unparalleled value and comprehensive itineraries, with focus on photographic field coaching, facilitating unique experiences and pushing and immersing ourselves in the locations. Every trip so far has facilitated once-in-a-lifetime outdoor and photographic experiences for the participants, without exception. As a self- taught photographer, he is keenly aware of what photographers are seeking to learn, and has a rare depth of local knowledge based on personal explorations and photography for months at a time to the same destinations he leads others to.

Places: The Adirondack Park in New York State has has rolling mountains and tranquil waters that must be searched out. Springtime in the Adirondacks is a wonderful season, with the vibrant, fresh green colors of new spring foliage and overflowing streams, creating compelling creek compositions of rushing spring waters, mossy rocks, and swirling foam. Autumn colors of reds and oranges are brilliant, coloring the valleys, and blanketing the forest floor, and it's a special time in the Adirondacks.

Places: Icelandic summer and winter workshops are a perfect hybrid of sightseeing around Iceland combined with great photo opportunities and in-the-field photography coaching and situational instruction, as far as the participant would like help. The skill level of the trip participant therefore doesn't matter, because I work individually with each person on-location and match my instruction to whatever they need help with given the current scene. We visit several places each day, so it's an exciting sightseeing itinerary for less-serious photographers, yet there's also enough time for personalized photographic coaching covering any topic. Trip participants will best enjoy the trip by having a zeal for the Icelandic landscape and new experiences. In the winter highlights include cyrstal blue ice caves that other otherwordly, and the aurora boralis over the glaciers icebergs of Jokulsarlon. Summer offers adventureus 4x4 exploration of the volcanic gravel plaines of the Highlands, waterfalls everywhere, friendly horses, stormy skies, and goethermal pools.
